Another “whoa!” moment for me this morning.
I just realized also that “the Book of Mormon” title in Hebrew translates as this:
Instead of “the book” it is “the chronicles” – same as in the Old Testament.
And instead of Mormon, it is “the-nephites”.
But also – if you translate it directly, not knowing the phonetics of “nephites”, it literally means “the fallen”.
The Book of Mormon in Hebrew means “the chronicles of the fallen”.
