The three things that scared me enough to make me start writing a “Scary List”:
1. Infants placed in emergency care awaiting regular foster home placement, which we were called to, are usually in the emergency placement for an average of two years.
2. Every couple in the meeting had adopted at least one of their foster children.
3. It takes even an infant 5-8 months (months!) to adjust to a new placement.
